Be coachable! It’s the same as how we each need to be teachable in order to grow. If we do not listen to the truth, we stay stagnate in our own ways.

Thank you Pastor Jonathan for that sharing. It really opened my eyes to what I naturally and honestly do many times. In times when I feel burdened and stressed I tend to go on the internet or sleep or eat or anything else that makes me feel relaxed and relieved. I tend to forget that God is there to lift my burdens, and even worse, when I am aware of God’s provision, I choose to ignore Him. These are the things I need to repent and work on. Thanks for letting me know.

I was most moved by the following stanza:

Sometimes the way is lonely
And steep and filled with pain
So if your sky is dark and pours the rain
Then cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
Cry to Jesus and live

The way of the cross is often lonely and filled with pain, yet I am grateful that not only do I have Jesus to cry out to but I have my co-laborers in Christ whom I can turn to for prayers and to have a time of strengthening. Last night Alice, Hope, Megan, Karen, Cathy, Bo and I gathered to pray for various concerns that have been burdening our hearts.
